SCPS officers are required to participate in scenario based training where they are train to refine their officer safety skills.
Scenarios range from transient contacts, to solo officer group contacts, disturbance and domestic violence, flag downs to subjects refusing to leave property.

Our training requierments
Our patrol division is the highest level of field operations within South Coast Public Safety.
All Patrol officers employed by South Coast Public Safety are required to obtain and maintain all of the following permits through the bureau of security and investigative services (oc spray, baton, taser, firearms).
WE DON'T STOP THERE!
All patrol officers with South Coast Public Safety must successfully pass a one month (160 hours) patrol trainee program that will challenge and build the officer's skills in the following areas.
-Detailed report writing for incidents and service calls
-Practical scenarios
-Law & liability
-Tactics and survival
-Physical fitness
-Redman/defensive tactics
We continue to meet on a weekly basis to provide ongoing training to our patrol officers.
